i can't say for sure. but i can say the coils on my 80 650c came from a ninja, if all the other ignition parts are interchangeable than those should be too right.
Sorry ghost.
those coils are almost identical to stocker 650 units are, but the pickups on a ninja are WAYYYYYYY different.
Not that it wouldn't work, but you gotta ask yourself how much $$ in machining and custom wiring you are willing to go through.
Interesting you are tryto use a DOHC 750 unit...
I used a DYNA2000 kit for a DOHC 750, and the timing plates are WAYYYY different.
different OD, different timing for the pickups, etc...
However you can take those pickups off the 750's plate and install them on the 650's timing plate.
A little solder to attach the new pickups to your existing wiring, and you should be good.
If you do this, you will want to do a REALLY accurate timing check on both banks(1&4, 2&3) of cylinders. Got a dial indicator, or a good timing light?
Yes, the pickups are identical(same #'s on both the 650 and 750), except the wiring to them from the connector.(the 750's wiring setup is shorter when timed correctly in a 650)
ANYTHING will work if you try hard enough.
If you would rather go with a 650 timing plate, I'll sell you one if you want.
Send me your defunct timing plate and pickups and I'd give a discount on the price of my timing plate.
