looking to buy a new bike this spring
is honda going to build the 1100 or not
i've been looking on thier web sight and have heard nothing about it

Could be because im up in canada but there is a CBF1000 avalable. I was looking at one in the show room in november.

The cb1100f?  In Canada?  Im going to the dealer in a few minutes. In the USA and Ill ask.

Well no info at the dealer. All they could find was what I find on google from jan 08. The guy did say though that bikes unheard of show up on the west coast first. Darkrider was the bike red? Can you tell us the dealer? Do they have a website?

No that was not the correct bike. The one im refering to is the CBF1000. This is the bike i seen..http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2009models/2009-Honda-CBF1000.htm

Hey Dark, it also says in the add that it's no available in the uS. That figures.

I just went back and  looked at the specs. A heavy bike at 551 pounds.

i thought there was a thread on this early this spring but i can't find it
supposedly honda was coming out with a retro 1100 this year

Yea there was but theres still no word about when its comming out. From what i understand the CBF i posted has a retuned CBR1000RR engine.

retuned or DEtuned? We know how companies like to do that. After all, honda cant have this bike performing just as well as its liter ride! ;)

Actually i think its the last Generation 1000RRs engine and more then likely retuned for torque since the bike is marketed as a Sport Touring bike.
