around 30 yrs. ago we kids with our snow mobiles use to bait the local barney fife's in their (then) new chevy suburbans. during a "chase" we'd go up the hill leading to the elementary school, they stuck at the foot of it, we then dismounted the sleds and mocking ensued.

I've always heard it said that the French just plain hate foreigners - especially the ones from Paris !
