Topic: CB350 cam chain tensioner Help needed

For the cam chain, can I just use a chain splitter to pop the pin out of one of the links of the old chain and then pop one out of the new chain and pop it back in once it's installed rather than splitting the cases or getting a master link?  I'm getting mixed advice on whether or not that is possible/good.. any thoughts?

Well the gaskets and oil seals are here. just not sure where all the oil seals go...

Should I hone the clinders or would it be better not to? I'm not replacing the rings, so would that make it harder for the old rings to seat right again if I hone it to get the glaze off? I've never done it before but auto zone let me borrow a loner stone hone. So would it be better to leave it be or clear the glaze?

You'd be best served by making sure the rings, cylinders, etc. are all within spec. and determining whether or not an overbore is required.  Short of that, if you're adverse to replacing the rings, I would leave the cylinders alone.

Thanks Bill! I decided to leave the cylinders alone like you said. The engine's all back together now, I'm just working on getting the fork tubes or whatever the painted part on the forks are called off for paint. Being kind of a pain but should have it off soon for my FREE paint job!! My buddy works at a hot rod paint and body shop and they said they could use left over paint on it for free. Might have to pay for clear or something, but don't think you can beat that
