It looks a lot like the 1000cc kits of the early 1970s. We put some of these into K1 and K2 engines, supposing that the lack of fins was a problem, but didn't turn out to be so.

The carbs seem kinda small for a big-bore, though. They appear to resemble Kawi carbs of the KZ1000 genre, maybe.

I know where a NOS RC kit with Golden rods is but I ain't telling. Considerably more expensive than Jay's kit but it'd look good.

Oh yeah, Happy New Year.

(After seeing Shenanagins next post and link I will say the RC kit I mentioned can be had for about what this bike is going for. My first thought upon seeing the pix was OMG followed by what a nice parts bike.  :D  )

It's a hybrid, obviously. That's for charging the battery at night.  :D

WELL worth 2700 just for the parts IMO.

Not too keen on the tank selection or the seat, but not too bad. Mabey it's because the seat is meant for a stocker tank, but it's got a little tank up there.
I like the swingarm, exhaust, motor(I bet theres a HEALTHY cam in there) I would love to get it, just to tear into it, re sleeve, new rings,valve job,and a few others since it's sat 20 yrs.
...Then see if I can lay a block long skid mark.(without using the front brake)
