will a cb450 tank fit a cb500?

i see that the part numbers are different, just wondering if the dimensions are the same.

i got a '78 cb500F tank for my '71 cb500, and the seat isn't fitting correctly. wondering if this might be a better option?

anyone? i think i've seen a cb350 tank on a 500. i guess i just like the shape of the 450 tank, as opposed to the supersport tank with the recessed filler.

Not straight on no, and if you search the forum you will find lots about 500/550 tank-seat differences
