Okay, I probably know the answer, but I have to ask:
Is it normal for the shifter on my Nighthawk 650 to hit the left exhaust pipe when I downshift? Or do I have a bent shifter?
I didn't really notice until I rode (across a parking lot) without my ear plugs the other day. I could clearly hear the "clink" of metal on metal.
I tried adjusting the shifter up one notice on the shaft, but then I could not upshift well.
If it is a bent shifter lever, can i just pull it off and whack it with a mallet? Or do I need to heat it up to soften the temper, first?
