Anyone remember Disabled American Veteran Mini Plate Keychains?
« on: January 04, 2009, 02:56:21 PM »
Bought 15 at an auction from the 60s-70s. Thought they would be cool on the keychains on my vintage bikes.  Had one on my 69 Suzuki back on the 70s. For you under 35, the DAV would mail you a mini license plate with your number and a request for a donation. Were imprinted on the back that if found, drop in any mailbox and your keys would be returned.  Things were simpler then. ::)

I had one of those in '72 but I never had it with my keys. Figured if I lost the keys it made it easy for somebody to make off with my '66 Mustang. It's probably in one of my boxes of crap that I don't seem to be able to let go of.
