OK I will explain my Swingarm stretch trick..
(havent tried it, but know it will speed things up!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First determine amount of stretch.
Gather material, either tubing or another arm to cut front off of.
say you are going 4 " stretch
Get 2 pcs of flat bar at least 1 inch wide by 6 inch long or so, at least 1/4 thick or +. Mark these pieces in a corner with punch or file, then clamp or tack together making sure sides are flush.
You need a drill the size of the swingarm bolt and a second swingarm bolt (engine bolt may work)
Now driil the 2 plates togeter, with 2 holes(swing bolt dia), 4 inches apart(or whatever stretch is), try to get them near the middle. Then brake apart but make sure they are marked .
Now slip these plates and a bolt thru the arm. Next you will use the second hole to hold the new front piece of 2nd arm or your machined parts.. after you get them to fit.
Go to 1/2 hr or more of cutting, grinding swearing, and drinking beer. (usually beer wont help accuracy , but this is almost idiot proof)
Now your swingarm xtension is fitting in the 2nd hole..
MAKE SURE THE 2 PLATES ARE ORIENTED THE SAME WAY AS DRILLED (this is the crucial part)
Now bolt everything together loosely. Your alignment now will be done on a flat surface by using shims under the drilled sideplates and clamping. If plates are wide enough it can be clamped direct to table.
Now tighten up the sideplates with the 2 long bolts and spacers , whatever it takes. When all is clamped, WELD..
BEER..Then paint ..BEER.. then install on frame..easy eh
