Piston ring sets
« on: January 10, 2009, 11:02:44 AM »
Hi,

I'm rebuilding my 77 CB 750K7. I have a Honda part # or 13011-392-004 which I believe is the right #. My question is everywhere I look the description is Piston Ring Set. But does set mean all the rings for 1 piston or all the rings for 4 pistons?

Piston size is standard and the engine is stock. Engine S/N (in case it matters) is CB750E-2704883

thanks,

bud.

Whats the price for 1 set that you are seeing?

I've seen prices of around $15 which I sure is for 1 piston up to $40. The local Honda Shop has quoted me a price of $164 for 4 sets. This is why I'm trying to find a definition for "set"

I was wondering if anybody had ordered the above part # and what was in it. Maybe I just order on "set" and see what it is. I'm in North Dakota and it's a whopping 5 above today, so I'm not riding anytime soon.

thanks,

bud.

sounds like 1 set = 1 piston. 40$ is to cheap for 4 sets of rings.

Very reasonable shipping too. I got 2 large boxes with rims and other assorted items for $17 before gas went to hell.
