Every 5000 miles (ish) depending upon what type of tyre I had at the time.

Nowadays that relates to 5 years... ::)

Of course it really depends on how much you drive. Last summer I put a new Dunlop K591 on the back of my CB750K4 and this year I have to replace it  -after 6000miles. However I have tires on other 750s that havent been driven for 3 years and the look fine (no crack walls).....

i average about 5500 km from a back and about 6-7000km from a front atm... will see after a bit more rideing.... the F1 is a daily driver...peace

I blew the last one!
I used to ride to Nowra from Newcastle and back here in Australia 340ks most weekend for almost 12 months+ all kinds of local distances. = I wore out a set of Avons but got 22,000 Ks(13,700Miles) out of them I could have had some more but would not pass the Registration test! Bald. My last ones were Bridgestone but ks? 15000Ks all local but wore the RHS out of the front tire. round a bouts here!! :'(
The road was mostly very good but the speeds were moderate 120ks pleanty of windies and then the Sydney city it self mostly Ok.
I have just placed some Bridgestones "Spitfires" on the rims last week.
Here's hoping!! :o

I'd replace them either when they start showing sidewall cracking, or when the TWI's are exposed, whichever came first.

Soon as wear marks are exposed. My K7 goes 230 km round trip each day rain or shine-can't afford r/s tyres. (Bridgestone Battleaxe-stick like sh*t to a shovel)

When they go bald. Cracking doesn't bother me much, as I'm no speed demon by any means, unless they're pretty bad.
