Mark very nice photos!

Can you tell me what suspension you have on the K6? It looks quite tall. And what did you think of the K8s suspension - looks like Progressive shocks. I have not been too impressed with mine (HD springs). Lastly...I like the top/tail bag - what is the rack/bag?

thanks
Andy

Andy

My rear shocks are from a FO or F1 CB, I length was same as the K6 shocks I took of 13.25 inches.  I think the ride height is close to stock.

I liked the way the progressive shocks worked in conjunction the the fork brace and emulators worked on Johns K8.  The bike seemed much more willing to hold the line I wanted in some great switchbacks on NC80. I did not notice anything I would call too stiff in the 25 miles I rode John's bike.

The Tail rack is an EBay find for 8.95, from a HD of some kind I think. I bent the front mounting tabs around to mount to the upper tail light bracket bolts, and added two aluminum turnbuckles that I crimped into the rack and attached to the Taillight lens retaining screws.

The bag is a Marsee I picked up at a Ducatti dealer.

Aw, come on Steve. A little snow never hurt anything. This was spring snow a few years back. Totally unintentional on my part.

So, went on a rally with a couple of mates (one of whom was having his bachelors there), i had been having problems getting a decent speed but it all got sorted on the trip. We did about 600km's with two gsxr's, and the Honda did not let me down once:)
Shoulda taken more pics (my mate did i think) but there was so much beer and stuff around i actually didn't think about it. ;D
So a couple from the trip.

Here are a few shots from my trip to Fort Lauderdale.

We rode about 210 miles, unless you are going somewhere, the roads & traffic suck.

IOW in south Florida, it's the destination, not the journey.  ::)

Aw, come on Steve. A little snow never hurt anything. This was spring snow a few years back. Totally unintentional on my part.

We got six inches of heavy wet snow.  Trees were coming down all over, massive power outages.  Tucking the bikes away for the season today it only gets worse from here on out. ;D

I couldn't help taking advantage of a great sunset when I was out quite locally on my Seeley the other week. Sadly I only had my phone's camera with me (and it took me a few approaches to download them successfully) but I'm quite please with the outcome, especially the first photo.

Your rack has inspired me to find a similar one as well. Do you have any tips about bending the tabs around? If it turns out as good as yours I'll be happy  :)
It is a nice rack and nicely done. Having "been there and done that" the rear fender by itself will not carry a lot of weight without cracking. YOu might like a mount that reaches up to the grab bar to share the load, or to the turn signal mounts.

Wrong thread for all this...

But I am interested in how much weight MCrider tried to place on the rear fender that it cracked.  Did it crack where it attaches to the frame cross-member under the seat?

There where two other racks like the one I acquired on EBay when I bought this one. The rear mounting tab to attach it to a hog was broken off.
