Put me down for 170 miles round trip today on my '77 550F. Went out to Eagles Canyon Race Way to watch the big boys play. Tank and saddle are loaners from my '78 CB550K. Anyone have an F donor saddle to sell? ~Jeff

Great picture Chris! That's what this thread is all about IMO. Lot of history in that little town. In case anyone thinks the statue is politically incorrect it was donated to the town from the Miami Indian Chief Godfrey in 1985, so it would be an insult not to present it. The town was a rough and tumble oil/gas town in the early 1900s. Town bank robbed by John Dillinger in the 30s. Now a sleepy little farm town. Jealous of your ride, but I made a little headway on Phaedrus.

Thanks Ron.  I could have had two pictures of my bike with overly-large human figures today.....About 5 miles down the road from Montpelier there is a little ice cream shop at the intersection of Hwy 3 and Hwy 18....there's a big tall guy (about the size of Indian) holding an icecream cone up into the sky.  Seeing as I would have had to park on the shoulder and cross the highway to get a pic and I was running short on time, I chose to save him for the next trip.   :)  Saw your Phaedrus pics from today.  Looks like you're getting closer to the finish line!

It is a great road, but speed limits are low and enforcement is getting enthusiastic in there.

Heading out! 74 750k just back on the road. I put 250 miles on this week and today my son and I put on 80. The bike seems good to go.It had been parked since 04 at least and possibly 1992.

Met momma for lunch today in Pilot Point.  Stopped in Celina on the way back and grabbed these.

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Tipper I like the profile of your 750. you've got a wide rear tire just like I do on my 750 K6, but mine is still factory height not been lowered. Did you get a suspension lowering kit or exactly what did you do?

Thanks D!

I dropped this before you could get a kit from CycleX.  11" shorties set to the lowest setting, 16" rim and a 130/90 tire for the back.  The front are CycleX -2's and slid up the tree 1 1/4 inches.

You can get what I did from CycleX as a kit now minus the 16" rim and tire.  Mine was pieced from different sources.

So that was your bike I was drooling over.  Even nicer in person, it should have been inside the show.

I went through the 750 to do a few things I've wanting to do for awhile in prep for the run to Nevada and Utah next week.  So I took a 170 mile ride today as a proving run.  Picture taken with the 1/2 megapixel camera on my 6 year old cell phone along SH51 above the Snake River a few miles north of Bruneau, ID.
