'Bout time we had some new pics from NZ! ;)
Matt, never tried counting the bikes, but probably over 200. The last tally on the miles was over 20,000! 8)

Beautiful Skoti!  Looks like your riding weather is holding out quite nicely!  Maybe one of thee times you can take that ride with Godzilla on board!  After the Kiwi's and Aussi's are done with him of course.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

It was a great Saturday morning for a ride today so I took some back roads to the little town of Los Alamos. It's only about 25 miles from my house. The hotel is all restored and has some of the greatest antiques you would ever want to see. The bar in it came around the horn to San Francisco in the 1800's and wound up in Los Alamos sometime in the early 20th century. It's supposedly the longest one piece bar to ever be shipped around the horn. I didn't get a picture of the bar 'cause they weren't open yet.

Cool place, love that colour scheme on your bike too.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Doh! I don't think any of us actually thought about that.  :o
That first pic of Dave's however is when we met on the way to the meeting. Retro Mick took some hot rod parts & did a show & tell for the members. I signed up as a member of the club today. They don't seem to mind that mine is a 550.

I'm envious of that get together you guys had. I wish we had something like that around here. Frosty, we're now forever linked by the exhaust that has now adorned both our bikes. That's really awesome. Looks great!!! Enjoy it to the max.

Hey Owen, I don't think your bike needs much clean up. It really looks good. If you want to try something for a quick turn towards a showroom look for your pix, try Lemon Pledge, same as you'd use on furniture. It cleans a bit, leaves a light coating of wax that shines like crazy, and you can use it on most everything- paint, plastic, hoses, etc. I even use it on the windshield of my 1500,which ends up cleaner with scratches much less noticeable, and rain beads right off.

I really like those gold forks. How did you do that- paint, powder coat?

A bit of a rub with wet & dry, a coat of etching primer followed by a rattle can coat of steel wheel gold then a coat of clear lacquer. Looks sort of Ducati like don't you think?
Really though, the camera is rather kind. Close up it really does need paint all over. Tank is terrible, side covers don't match & the engine paint needs more than a touch up, but thanks anyway.  ;)

Took a weekend trip up to Prescott,AZ from Phoenix,AZ a couple weeks ago. It was a good little trip, I learned some stuff, met some nice people and had some good experiences.
