Yesterday was one of the first times this year I actually took my bike out for the sole purpose of riding. Went out with a friend who was on his DOHC 750 and had a blast. Got caught in a storm and sat under a bridge for an hour. Made me realize I need to get out and ride more often....

Oh, and pulled a solid 50 mpg on the little 400f too!

(1st pic is the storm coming in, seemingly from out of nowhere while we stopped. 2nd pic is the bikes hiding under the bridge)

Mooshie, what happened to that East Coast leg to pick up Andy and (by default) I?? Glad you made it back safely; I hoped you enjoyed it! Quick question: what is that seat? It is pretty freaking cool.

The seat was made for me by Dustin Kott of Kott motorcycles. It is amazingly comfortable.  He uses the original pan and uses various shapes to fit your riding style. He has a website. Nice guy.

Damn Andy you know everyone!  How crazy you rode with Dustin.  He did all the initial work on my bike when I bought it.

PS  well I hope at least one of my pics gets into the SOHC calendar 8)...I like the Bryce Canyon one personally.

I pulled my 79 firebird shell around the yard before with no issues and that was around 1000lbs I would say.
