Not quite on the road, but at a gas station, waiting for the shop to open to participate in a dyno shootout.

Steve-It was on the bike when I got it.  It's in perfect shape.
It has a Honda mark on the top and Saeki 2006 on the underside,
so I think that's the manufacture date.
Funny thing is, I was all set to change it but now I like the stock
look and sound ;)

Dave-The Catskill Mountains area of NY is a rider's paradise this time of year.  So many roads, so little time though.  I keep the 750 at our log home in the mountains so I always have a bike to ride.  I live and work on Long Island, which is crowded suburbia!  I have a '95 FXSTC for down there.  Come on over, we'll have some cold ones and do some exploring ;) -Chuck

Hey Chuck are you going to the Cannonball Run in Newburgh, NY to see off the pre-1929 motorcycles on their journey to the West coast? Ill beheading there with some fellow enthusiasts on Thursday 7th Sept and then exploring the Catskills on the Friday/Saturday. Any particular roads I should know about let me know or better yet come along and show me!

cheers
Andy

Andy-I won't be able to hit Newburgh for the Cannonball but I may be up at my place that weekend.  I will let you know if I'm going up and if our paths could cross on bikes, that would be great!  As far as road recommendations;  route 52 which is just west and north of Newburgh has a great high overlook.  However, just west of Ellenville on to Liberty is not great.  52 west of Rt.17 is also nice rolling hills and farm land.  Rt. 97 from Port Jervis to Hancock is a nice ride along the Delaware.  That brings you up into my neck of the woods!  The roads around Pepacton and Cannonsville reservoirs are beautiful and not full of cars.  Heading up to the Hunter Mountain area is also really nice but weekends can be crowded.  Stay of the NYS Thruway and 17 unless you just want to make time.  I'll let you know what I'm doing with a PM once I know.  In general, the area is awesome when it's not raining and you manage to avoid the weekend surge of traffic. ;)  -Chuck

Heres my 550 parked on Meridian street in downtown Indianapolis.  The Moto GP is this wknd and thousands of bikes are all around the city.  Last night and tonight is "motorcycles on Meridian"....a large part of downtown is closed off and is moto parking only.  Can't tell you how many we're there last night or tonight, but it's in the thousands.  Pretty neat atmosphere.  Hung out with Tango911 and some other folks and had a great time walking around.  Contemplating going back tonight....but we will see.  Goes til 3 am  :o

Great looking bike Chuck!

I have a few of the 75 supersports (basically the same exact bike just different colors), and I love the look of these fat cigar mufflers.

Your muffler is stock from 1976... the 2006 is just a number (not sure what it means, but I know it's not the year of manufacture).

FYI... one design flaw in the 75/76 exhaust system is it's easy to scrape the muffler on a hard right lean.  I've seen a lot of these mufflers with scrapes on them.

He's still there.  This bike was going to be "ready" a year ago when we were running Godzilla around, but only has come out now.

Thanks for that info!  So, I better take good care of that muffler.  There's a pretty good scuff on the collector but the muffler is clean ;)

Rode with a few friends out to a shrimp truck on the north shore. Beautiful ride out and back, but damn is my bike uncomfortable.

Hit some twisty roads and I had my gopro rolling, I'll see if I can get some clips up. Not sure when it died, but it died sometime during the last leg.

Winter is always right around the corner up here in Edmonton, so you need to enjoy summer day you can. Today was perfect for a ride.
