FTM did a lot of work for me, making sure my bike was ready for the journey east. I repped their T-shirt the whole way. Great folks. And I'm sad that I'm not longer there for vintage bike night. I was always the only one in my circle who rode vintage bikes and didn't move out of the city long after discovering my obsession. But I will be back. Some day, I'll be passing through again on my machine.

was it any problem to get the brakes balanced?

Super simple because you just adjust the rear with the nut.

How many bike builders died riding motorcycles in general.  We shouldn't do that, either!

42 degrees isnt so bad!  As I left for work I told my roommate to "take sweet photos of me"

Things I've heard today:
You look like a Power Ranger.
You look like you have a green flower on your back.
It looks like a large mini bike.

Larry was also not wearing a helmet.  Dude bonked his noggin and died, go figure.  Why do most big twin riders think it's so cool to ride unprotected?  They think it makes them look cool, I guess, but I think it makes them look #$%*ing retarded, just like wearing shorts and flip-flops while riding.

i hopped on my bike in shorts one time without realizing it.  I realized it REAL quick once my cam tower pucks started leaking!  OUCH!

That happened to me too. I thought I was having some electrical issue - I was getting high tension jumping from the engine fins to my bare legs... :-)

Internal throttle and suicide shift, eh? No front brake?

Right foot pedal.  If you zoom into this pic you can see it.  Master cyl runs front brake, rear is still mechanical:

Those pipes look sick.

Notice the State Patrol guy in the the Chev Blazer in the background on the interstate. He was pulling people left and right.

Nice mirrors, where did you find them?

Those mirrors where already on the bike when I bought it in 2009 Mark. No markings on them to tell me what brand they are. Thought about putting the Honda mirrors back on, but just never have.
