The variation of hue that blue-green paint produces in different lighting is amazing.  It almost looks like a royal blue in those pics.

Went on a ride yesterday with some folks from advrider.com. I don't know about other states but in WI we have designated "rustic roads" and if you get your picture taken by 10 rustic road signs and send it to the dmv they send you a rustic road patch. Our ride took us through some great twisty scenic roads and it was a perfect day for riding. The mighty 750 and her 43,000 miles kept up just fine with all the fancy-pants new bikes, and believe me, there were many opportunities to "blow the carbon out". Added about 380 miles by the end of the day.

Getting ready to leave. I don't like the way the fairing looks but when you're on the bike all day long it sure is comfy.

Stopping for gas halfway through. I think mine was the oldest bike there by at least 30 years.

The last stop of the ride just outside Lake Geneva, most of the others had already left. It's close to the IL/WI border and I've never crossed a state line on a bike (yet). I was in a hurry to get home so I resisted the urge to accomplish that goal.

Hoo your 750K6 is looking good in with the other bikes. What type of fairing and trunk do you have there? I think I'm quite a bit older than you, but I'm at the age (56) where I'll sacrifice some eye appeal for added comfort anytime ;D

Thanks Tews. The seat is a Gulliari-type seat that I bought off German Ebay many many years ago (2003 I think). Classic City Cycles make a very nice replica that is probably comfier than mine ;)

Got to love the Rc's! Thats been one of those bikes I always wish I had of got. I have to say if you like the tourqe of the v twin the closest modern jap bike that comes close to the RC51 is the 09 up R1. Great mid range power!!

The fairing and luggage rack came off the K2 my dad and I worked on. I like the manufacturer. Nevermind the 5th dimension, this baby is from the 12th dimension! And interestingly it has Lucas (british) turnsignals. I'm curious to take the wife for a ride with it on and see how reduced the wind blast is for a passenger.

The trunk is a cheap Givi knockoff that used to be sold by JC whitney. When I went to buy one they no longer offered them but a quick search of ebay turned one up. It's deffinitely built to a price but works just fine for my purposes. Having lockable storage really makes the bike much more useful.

Looks good Hoodey! Thanks for the ignition BTW. The new owner of the silver K1 will be pleased he can start the bike
No problem! Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed when I didn't find a burger or hot dog next to the envelope ;D

Looks good! Welcome to the site! Any background info on it?

It's a 76 CB550 K with supposedly 5500 miles on it (the speedometer cable was loose enough to fall off during a ride and made me a little suspicious about the real mileage). I've had it since early September last year. Only changes are a set of drag bars and a MAC 4 into 1. I love this thing. I actually just this weekend picked up a non running 81 CB750 that is going to be a cruiser for my girlfriend and I to get around on.
