Here are a couple of pics from my ride this morning to the Santa Ynez and Solvang area. This is only 25 miles or so from home and the twisty canyon roads are really scenic and just a ball to ride.

Couple of nice bikes.  Was the Yammie able to keep up with you on the "quick trip"?

The yammi can keep up pretty good as long as its below about 70 haha and off the line isn't the best, but once it hits the pipe she goes pretty good :)

Sounds about right. I have a 550 and an RD350 but haven't run them side by side......yet.

I think they would match up pretty well actually. The 250 needs a bit more. He got the bike with an "extra" engine that just happens to be a 350. I have been trying to talk him into building the hell out of it this winter for the swap. After riding my 550 I'm pretty sure he wants some more power :)

I made a first yesterday - first time across a state border with my CB in 39 years. The ride was terrific: good company, good weather, good route, bikes ran great.
A little rubber lizard decked in pink and yellow got me to do it. :) :) :) :) :)

You're absolutely right Andy, I've been out quite a bit, but it's been in a minivan with a carload of kids. I was actually scouting for future motorcycle rides for the past 39 years! ;D ;D ;D This one is on my list, and should be in the "before I die" thread:

Nice 100 mi ride today after work w my buddy. Feel like I've found a favorite spot in tuckerton on that great bay boulevard now that I've been there like 6 times this Summer. Open road. Open sky. Salty air. Nice combo.

Great day for a 364 mile ride today  8) Boston to the White Mountains

Some great foliage already

Great scenery

and even saw a rocket - Apparently this rocket hurled New Hampshire native Alan Shepard into space and was brought to Warren, NH in 1971. (more info here - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/863)

cheers
Andy
