Here are some pix from a ride I took yesterday. The first two are of the dunes at Guadalupe Beach and the third was taken from Shell Beach looking across San Luis Bay to Avila Beach.

Being a sailor I have to ask......is that a Tjalk behind your bike in the background? :)

i had to look at the original image file and zoom in carefully... yes it is. the hull shape and massive leeboard are dead giveaways.
that's the ijsselmeer, and you do see quite of few of them there. i don't sail myself but like to take my canoe out there. always nice to see these traditional boats.

thanks for the photo.  I have a a soft spot for traditional boats and Tjalks in particular.  We have been thinking of buying a small one (10-12 meters) for canal cruise through Europe in a few years for a wedding anniversary.

That bike is loaded for the long hall  Zman. But I understand the tendency to overpack

Nice wee run out tonight.  By the banks of the river Nith with Criffel in the background.  Oh, and a strange yellow glowing orb thing in the sky making a welcome appearance in south west Scotland.  8)

Here's a picture from Frank's (aka Schnell) trip around the USA.  He's starting out and this was taken a few days ago near some of the Finger lakes in upper state New York.

Great shot! I am enjoying following you trip report on your site. Looking forward to seeing some of the "real" film photos after you get back to the darkroom. I dabble a bit and shoot with a Yashica 635 (poor man's Rollei)

If you take a wrong turn and end up near St. Louis let me know. I have a comfy couch and I'll buy dinner and drinks.

My son's 78 750K and my 78 750F in front of the Big Muskie bucket in Southern Ohio.  That thing was well worth the all day trip to go see... not to mention I was not at work, I was with my son and it was a beautiful day :)

Thanks Jeff! Sometimes I do get lost.
