Headed up to the farm this evening. But had to stop at the KVLY-TV mast, which was the tallest man made structure in the world, until Burj Khalifa in Dubai overtook it.

Brutal heat last weekend. Speed limit on the --otherwise not restricted-- German Autobahn was 80 km/h (50mph) because of possible road damage due to the extreme heat. None of this concerns my 38-year-old Honda: it just runs. Here some pics taken in Austria were I spent the weekend at my favorite hotel (it's about 500 miles from where I am stationed at) . When I took the BMW S100RR there twice this year, it had to be towed home by the Automobile Club each time. This was the third trip to Austria with the Honda since May, never any trouble.

It's blurry and the bike is small, but this is my 750K5 on the road from Jasper to Banff. Taken about 3 weeks ago.

Actually, it is--you would have to suffer through half the video to hear it (15 minutes into it). YouTube generates the music description by picking ONE of the copyrighted song titles with fingerprint identification (that's how they spot copyrighted material).

passed the annual 6 monthly inspection no problems, and a nice spring day a run to the top of the Paekakariki Hill Road is in order.
Not quite up to the standard of the Stelvio Pass but it is only 15 minutes away and it is a good route for a post winter shakedown run.
For those that know the hill it has been lumbered with a 60km\hr limit these days, safe to say I may have exceeded that a couple of times... ;)

It's incredible to see the difference in your bike. Awesome. Now you just need to do something about the headlight shell. Keep it up and enjoy riding. By the way: not the Stelvio but a nice view of the coast line is just as good.

Closer and closer to OEM look. 4-4 is the really good old look.
Now OEM mirrors back on bike again. For the look only.
(But Kawasaki Z1-900 mirrors are much better with longer arms, more stable and withstand brutal force as dropping the bike)

Last ride with baffles mounted. Really relaxing to drive it now compared with the loud 4-1 that triggered me to twist the thorttle constantly.
4-4 is rather loud to without baffles. Might be a good alternative so I can enjoy the engine modifications and carb rejetting. Now tuned for the load 4-1, a little bit rich with silent 4-4

The bike looks really nice. I am glad that you went this route--and also finally updated your avatar. It wasn't cheap, but it sure is well worth it. Now it's time to relive the old memories and ride. See you in the Alps?
