My '71/'72/'73/'75 Frankenbike Spare Part Special is pretty well sorted to how I want it, and now I'm on "eliminate rust" duty.  It's still got an oil leak or two, but in some rather annoying places like the head gasket and valve cover, so that's going to be a problem to be fixed far in the future.

In the meantime, I figure I'll just enjoy this thing.

Looks great mate, leave it alone, I've got a wadded up piece of shoptowel in my jacket pocket, which I use to wipe the K0's cam cover and head after a spirited ride, and that's saving me pulling the engine out to fix it. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Another Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride done. Thanks to the organisers and those that turned out (on bikes and waving to us from the sidelines) to support awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Here in Wellington there were 151 riders registered but I am not sure how many turned up on a cold Autumn day, looked a bit more than that. As seems the norm I was the only SOHC 4 so I tagged on the the local classic bike group.

Summer like weather here in the northeast this past weekend. Took the K2 out for a ride through the Hudson Valley. This is taken at Bear Mountain Park overlooking the Hudson River and Bear Mountain Bridge.

Members Sean B and 69cb750 met up at my house Wed evening and we three took a ride together out to a local weekly very high end car show together at the Gilmore Car Museum. Free show every week. Sean on his Suzuki 1100, 69cb750 on a KH500 and I was riding my trusty K4. Bikes got some good attention.
I had to laugh a little when we were leaving. As 69cb750 was firing up the KH500 another friend was standing there and we made a little extra smoke maybe. It drifted over to a picnic table very close by and an older lady sitting there did not seem to be too amused  ;D   Not the best pictures but a fun ride together !

I leaned into her at the picnic table and made a quip about keeping the mosquitoes away. She frowned and shook her head and said get that thing away while waving a hand in front of her face. Kind of a bioch a little bit and obviously not a fan of motorcycles. Her husband and another couple seated there also were oblivious to her distraught situation.  :D

A perfect day for a ride today. The temp was just right, lots of sunshine, no threat of rain, flowers blooming, roads empty, CB running great.

Today is our 42nd anniversary, took the K3 out for a morning spin before it got hot. Went down to Makena State Park, aka Big Beach, tooled around, got coffee, squirted it up on a few stretches where I know MPD (Maui Police) doesn’t watch very much.
