Excellent photography and sweet bike. Looks like a '77, '78 tank on an earlier frame. How hard was that to do?

Bike and photos look great. Looks like you had a good ride on a scud filled day. I know many wouldn't even risk a ride on a day like that. I would.
In many areas if you only rode on sunny days you would only be riding 50-60 days out of the 365 and not all of those days would be able to ride because of work or time of year with temps too cold.

Looks great mate, I love the wheels and Hindle pipe, I've just ordered one for my K2. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

The bike is looking Good Andy  8)
Have you ever tried fitting hard bags on that rack ?

Thank you! No on hard bags but I thought about it. However the problem may be in the 4-4 exhaust since it rises at the back. Was worried any hard bag would be too tall. Did an extensive search for soft bags and have been happy with the result so far.

Dramatic and beautiful autumn bike photos, Andy!
GPS look handy where it sit.
Bike colors match the season too. ;)

Thank you! GPS is an old iPhone 7 on a rockform mount - very handy.

Excellent photography and sweet bike. Looks like a '77, '78 tank on an earlier frame. How hard was that to do?

Yes its a 78 tank painted in K4 colours since the bike is a 1974 CB750. Not hard to fit the tank but the K4 seat pan has to be shortened and then upholstered so a bit of work there.

Thank you it was just after a big storm the night before and this time of year is so changeable in New England. The light is really good. I started riding in Scotland so for me any day thast not snowing is a good riding day  8). Although these days I dont ride once the salt hits the roads.

Probably last ride this year on my K6. A 150km ride.
After last dyno on the latest 970cc setup I had to adjust the carbs.
Today it felt stronger than ever.
Visited my favourite Shell gas station 75 km away from home. Bike got V-Power and I got a meal in the burger-hot dog-kebab joint 10m away from pump. I had not tried it before.
The boring winter darkness is here. I had my eyes open for animals on my way home, twilight at 3:30pm. Dark at 4... :(
I saw the ass of a deer that had just crossed the country road.

Yes, too much darkness. No vacation planned. If no Covid, probably Canarian Island Tenerife in January.
I have time to clean up the mess in the garage. And do some engines jobs.
The bench need to be free and ready for jobs.

Was out riding my 500 and the clutch starting sticking at the take up point. Made a mental note to lube the cable when I got home, but didn't quite make it; at a busy intersection, had a " fail to proceed" incident". Managed to limp home, and lubed the cable. Still didn't feel quite right so I pulled the cover and discovered this. Fortunately had a spare, so managed to repair and back on the road. Glad it happened close to home, though

Lubing a genuine Honda cable is a bad idea as outer is nylon lined and inner has a rubberish coating, oil swells both and makes cable tighter. I found this out back in mid 70' when it cost me a set of cables

That looks to be the result of the bearings inside the clutch cover were gummed up not a stuck cable.
Did you find the cable moved freely once you had it opened up?
