Moonrise ride in Idaho farmland

Bike is hesitating off of idle, after a couple of years trouble free since last tuning. Argh I hate carburetors.

Great pic mate, I'm looking forward to some moonlit rides. ;D
The light look really special. Also a calender photo. A babe can be added with Photoshop ;D

How are the fall temps in Texas? I see budman getting out quite a bit.

Hey Kevin...fall temps in TX are great, we are just not quite there yet.  High today expected to be 90F.

But, the first real cold front is coming this weekend and next week is expected to be perfect...high around 80.

Planning to hook up with Budman next weekend at our annual "Harvest Classic" vintage motorcycle rally!

If you think of it, tell Budman the picture of my 550F and his 750 I took when we rode into Telluride during the Reunion in 2017 is the wallpaper on my work computer
Beautiful montains and bikes with luggage.
Make me to remember tourings over the Alps in the 80's.
No mountains here....
Last time I was close was on Tenerife, the highest peak, worlds 3rd highest volcano.... "will it erupt now or soon?"

I must ride it more often. ;D
You're right Terry. I need to do the same with my bikes.

G'Day Dwight, yes mate, sometimes we have to push ourselves out of our comfy lounge chairs to go for a ride, but it's always well worth it. I was surprised at how well that old bike goes, the fuel in the tank must be 6 months old, but it fired right up and ran fine. Just a lovely thing to ride on a cold Saturday. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

How does Bitsa handle with the rear tire?

Thanks Steve, it handles surprisingly well. I haven't noticed any difference between it and my stock K0, and I like to go around corners fast. Obviously not a Ducati 916, but the old "Fat Four" doesn't wobble or wallow like my Valkyrie does. ;D

I like that style gasket.

Ahhhh, fall rides, not much of that here. It’s good to go over to the north shore to look at the surf, it starts to really cook as the season goes on. Whales will be here soon too.

Great question and one MikeR would know as he sourced all the parts. Id take a guess and say it was the MLS gasket - so whoever sells those. Sorry I cant be of more help.

CycleX and APE and Dynoman all carry MLS gaskets if I recall correctly, Mike used to sell them to his customers as well…
Multi-Layered-Steel is the acronym if I recall correctly…

Mike gave us forum members the best prices on those gaskets and even the reground camshafts…
Don’t know if he still sells them now he limits his work to porting.

Took the K4 "Big Bang Bike" out for a ride, bike is running great.

We dont get the changing leaf colors much down here, the Live Oak trees stay green all year and dont lose all of their leaves in the Winter...

Refresh our memory on the "Big Bang" bike Steve. Is that the one that threw the rod through the front of the engine ? This one has an 836 in it correct ? Maybe a bigger bang ?
