One of my favourite areas to ride is around  Boxhill Surrey taking in Ryka’s Cafe.

Took a ride up SH55 to Cascade yesterday.  Valley County has been plagued by fire most of the summer.  Still smoky, but some moisture has knocked the fires down, with more on the way for the next few days.

I took advantage of the beautiful weather and went on a longer ride across the border to France.
Even closed roads can be navigated here with a bit of skill. The motorcycle is running perfectly.

And yes, I still have an other picture: The blue one belongs to my friend – we went to school together.
The bike is 100% original and unrestored.
By the way: he sold me the red one in 1986.
On winding roads with bad asphalt, the baby-four is unbeatable. With his 750, he can't keep up with the little one. Obviously: I’m running Ikons and Race-Tech internals in the fork...

Those are not what you think they are.
They are ski lift chairs.
It's the K5 Planet Blue.

Hi Flyin900 !
I'm also a member on VHT and remember that you offered that beautiful 78' CB550K to a member on VHT for a great deal;did that member ever respond to your offer ?

Well he is thinking about it, yet I suspect when push comes to shove it may not happen. We have left it until next year when I will  put it up for sale in Canada. I just got it running well after a carb cleaning and I am enjoying the bike now as it is such a low kilometer bike and really a gem. I will have put about 2500 kilometers on it by season end for a grand total of 10K original kilometers.

Thanks for asking though. The VHT forum has been a good forum and help to me on a few other projects I have done.

This 550 of yours is Well cared for;no comparison to the bike in Long Island NY,which looked kind of 'pieced together' for an 'out the door' price.
I hope that prospective buyer on the VHT will finally remove the dark shades and have a close look at this wonderful, meticulously restored 550 and 'jump at the chance' to purchase it  ;) :)

This photo isn’t on the road, we just got back and I developed an oil leak right at the hose connection to the engine. Good thing because with the engine running it was getting to be a pretty good leak. I’m ordering a set of hoses from Yamiya, going back to black hoses. I’m changing both because I don’t want to be thinking about if any of the other three crimped ends will start leaking. Lucky that on a right turn an oiled tire didn’t trip us up. It was just starting to get wet in back.

I used Russell pro classic 2, size 10an hose and oetiker crimp clamps to refurbish/setup my oil cooler. Might be a way to salvage the fittings you have.
