That's not a lot of baggage for a 1500 mile trip...you sure pack light!

Just got back from a 1500 mile trip... Owen Sound / Peterborough / Perth /  Algonquin Park /  etc ... then back to Kingsville. (Ontario) Bike ran great, but I think it's begging for fresh oil and a good scrubbing.

Orange, when did you go back to the OEM pipes? Looks great- our bikes are now looking like twins once again. Great job.

Yeah, I'm getting to be a pro at packing. (but when I was in Perth, I was able to use a local friend's tent. I camped in the back of his farm. Was great except the damn coyotes kept howling all night) Otherwise, I stayed in hotels. I want to do more full on camping trips next. So I'm gonna start figuring out that gear.

Hey CoachDoc. A good friend had a '76 550 and he went to a MAc exhaust. His restoration was custom, so he gave me his old OEM pipes. They're in pretty great shape too, although the baffle in #2 started rattling a little near the end of my trip. I've been searching around to possibly buy a new set, but 3 of the 4 pipes are on long back-order in Canada. I tried going through Service Honda in the US, but they can't check availability before submitting the order, and I don't wanna get stuck without a full set, then have to try to find an individual new pipe.

Any ideas on a good company to source the pipes from Honda? Maybe I could cross over to a Detroit Honda dealer and see if they can order them for me.

cmsnl.com sells the pipes. Good condition ones also pop up on ebay a lot.

Can't compete with the Pacific Coast scenery, but here's me with my 400F in front of the derelict Osage City Bank in Osage City MO. Yes, it's still purple. Just upstream from the confluence of the Osage and Missouri Rivers.

Great ride today Dave. Just shy of 230km by the time I got home. The ride was called "Three Mountain Challenge". Nice to get out & about with like minded people. Visits to two great lil cafes along the way, nice twisys to negotiate, all in all great fun.
It was like a repeat of the hand off for Godzilla earlier this year really.

This country road is not far from my house. Thought the green pasture might make for a good picture. Still looking for a good #2 341 pipe, this would make me a complete set. I want to get the factory set up back on, so if anybody runs across any or has some let me know.

thanks
