A quick fill up before heading into work this morning at 6:45am. Low 50's and still dark.

Great shot and what a great way to start the day!

Took the K4 to work today after the VStrom unexpectedly blew a fuse while backing out the garage this morning. On the way home from work I pass a cemetery that at the moment has some great Fall colours and I always pass around sunset..

and finally..

The bike is running great now with the rebuilt carbs (all new parts including needle seats) and new clutch cable and so decided to fix that squeaky front brake...all was going well until reassembly...the right hand side bolt hole has mangled threads and cant get it back together again :(

as she sits now...

Will get it fixed somehow!

Great weather this week for riding!

cheers
Andy

thanks Dave!  Good point on that.  Hopefully I can get all the metal cleaned up.  Might be the first time I've ever even noticed how nasty looking it is!  I usually only use it for servicing(which has been the past 4 months)

Obviously I store my rain jacket, clymer manual and tools there. Where else would they be if not in a turtle shell shaped backpack?

It's an '82 U.S. Spec Candy Flair Blue SOHC 650SC Nighthawk, VB44C carbs, dual piston, dual caliper brakes,4-4 pipes.  First year of the nighthawk, last year of the sohc 650.  Lots of parts that don't interchange with any other year but I bought the bike for $100 usd from a coworker.  It has been sitting for 12 years under a cover.  He was having problems and thought it was the fuel accelerator pump 12 years ago and just ended up buying a ducati monster.  I found it to be a bad pulsar pickup and off I went!

Not outdoors but a front shot with less fully licensed ninja turtle apparel hanging off of it(and doctored up with filters)

My bike has been sitting for about six weeks while I dealt with some carb issues. All fixed now. Sometimes I forget just how awesome this thing is. New Frankenstuff sidecovers too! :)

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.
