Just finished the fabrication. Out for a few test spins with a buddy on his Sunset 750.

Rusty olive, I'm nominating you for BOTM next month. I think it is to late this month  so get a write up ready.

Thanks man.. But the bike is not finished. I'm tearing her back down to the frame this week. Start painting the frame, swingarm and finishings.
If all goes well, I hope to have a fresh engine put back in it too. Plan is for the bike to be %100 done and ready to ride before spring.

Motocyconomad and myself at Rockers -v- Mods in Houston last weekend at the Dark Horse Tavern. Very many super nice bikes ! And very cold beers !
Found this bike in completely stock condition in Feb. 08. Paid over twice what my new one cost 30 years ago. Am trying to re-create the look of the late 70's Drag Bike styling.More later. 4-2-10 It ain't stock any more and I have no idea what I am trying to create !

Right foot pedal.  If you zoom into this pic you can see it.  Master cyl runs front brake, rear is still mechanical:

I worked in Dulles for years and some of that time lived in Gaithersburg - took the ferry when the Beltway was locked up or when I just felt like it.

We'll have to set up a greater DC metro area ride when the weather ticks back up.

If you ever come back to visit I recommend checking out Flying Tiger Motorcycles in Maplewood if you haven't already.  You can find them on facebook and they have a website.  They know vintage Honda

Also, check out the Vintage Bike Night site on facebook, they have been pulling in 150+ bikes once a month over at the Triumph Grill by St. Louis University.
