Rode a few or seven hours today. Stopped by the beach and some parks, a local lighthouse, stopped by a few friends houses, got so caught up in the ride with the perfect weather I took very few pics. Here's a few of the highlights….

palm beach eh? I may be swinging down that way before you know it. I want to make a trip to the Keys, I'll be coming from Savannah, GA

Last Saturday I finally got out for the first time this year. Took a short ride to check out the last of the ice shoves on lake Winnebago and turned over 45k on the odometer.

Thanks, Yeah, there's new murals going up all over. Thankfully. Over the last few years they painted over a dozen of the ones that have been around since I was in high school. It's good to see a "revival" of the arts going on all over South Florida. :)

Cool pics Mark. Nice mural in pic 2.

Yes. I live fairly close to WPB, though I ride everywhere from Lake O to the west, Stuart to the north, and Miami to the south. My head gasket is weeping oil, so it's about time for a little downtime, not looking forward to that, may have to buy a second bike. :) I want to make a Keys run on mine, but just have to fix that gasket leak first.

yeah looks bloody great, the stripe tank was the best design, pity about those dart board size license plates you get over there though?theyre so big they have to keep people in jail longer to make them?what about a union flag helmet?might look like you have an old mini minor stuck on your head though?

Is that a new front tire on there?  (Looks like you haven't had a chance to run it much yet. ;) )

Went for a spur of the moment ride over the border into Northern NSW. Was aiming for Byon Bay however dark clouds and some serious rain was approaching fast. So a change of plans was in order. I ended up somewhere near Mullimbimby and had to return quick smart.

took a few days over easter to go an a trip through belgium, luxembourg, into france and back. down to the south of the netherlands we took the motorway to speed things up, from then on only smaller roads.

i took the 550 with its freshly updated chassis, my friend his bmw r80/7. these bikes are a great match for each other. on the twisties i regularly had to slow down and wait for him. on long straight runs he could catch up again.

stopped in a little village in the french speaking part of belgium for breakfast.

camped out near metz in france, in another tiny village whose name i forgot.

the beemer burns more oil (and swallows more gas) than my older honda which hurt my friend's pride  ;D

on the way back we stopped at orval abbey where they make a famous trappist beer.

last night we spent in the village where bocq brewery is which makes gauloise beer. can't ride through belgium without visiting at least some breweries!

so that was that: 4 days, a few brewery stops, lots of fabulous roads, great weather and no problems whatsoever  8)

Thanks for sharing your Easter trip with us Lander. Looks like great weather for the ride. I had a 1976 CB550 back almost 40 years ago so its been a while but never remember mine tacking only 5 grand at a ton ???  Can you explain ;) Here's my sign ;D It's early Sunday morning for me. Haha! Well I guess in your neck of the woods it's kilometers on the old speedo. So your running around 60 mph and taching 5 grand. Now that makes a little more sense. Thought you had some special bad a$$ 550 their for a minute Lander ;D
