First ride.

Yes!, tell us more.

Ran great, no issues. At low speeds, the front wheel wants to “flop over”, so some effort required to keep it at the angle you want to maintain. Straight line stability is excellent. I only rode up and down the hard packed road in front of our farm gate (not great on any smooth tire bike). Didn’t get out of third gear, bike has tons of torque and pull, LOUD. Next time my shop mate comes for a visit I’ll probably take it around the 20 mile “test loop” we use, with him riding behind me. It’s all nicely paved, off any major routes. Will report back!

Does the front brake work very well? It seems that there would not be much weight on it to get some traction.

A ride today with wife, our national day and warm sunny weather, 24-27*C.

Total 320km. A visit at a nice cafe beside a beautiful river where we enjoyed a very mild, not spicy taco pie.

A quick stop along they way beside a lake  where we have stopped before.  There is a cafe/restaurant we can visit another time on a shorter ride.
Bike feels rather comfy so shock setting work fine for cruising with wife.

Sounds like a perfect day, Per!

Your bike looks to be in absolutely mint condition. Impressing that you can keep it like that and use it the way you do. 👍🙂

Looking good Per, I wish it was that warm here mate! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Surprisingly good front brake, but I agree. It’s so far ahead, that as the speed goes up, I wonder? Will report back after a longer, faster run. Hopefully this week.

I remember reading a ride report about those old mini-spool drums, the wind up was that they'd hold a hill for startup but weren't much good for anything else. I'm hoping you have some good stopping power with your single disc setup.

Thanks,
I have not ridden the brown that much since it was built and ready for the road March 2019. Only second rear tire it got this year after 6000 km. Now totally 6482 km.

I did just over 10.000 km on my blue K6 last year, 3000 km so far this year.

The brown almost stock K2 perfect for wife that really liked the tour and eager for next, a weekend when weather is OK again. A stock CB750 will make attention when parked.

We got a rain shower on the way home during 10-15 minutes so it is not that shiny now ;)

Hopefully more good days to come when riding season will be OK to mid October if lucky.

Not as Terry with 300 days/year. I guess 65 days are either too hot or rainy. ;D

I can imagine a 750 looking like that will get attention! Must be fun that you can share the bike riding interest with your wife. That means you can spend time together some of the rides and then the other ones when you go alone you can use the throttle more and have another kind of fun.  ;)

Regarding our weather in Sweden - we have to settle with what we get and hope for a good season. Comparing to Terry's riding season is pointless... About Terry, by the way, all his writing about the Ginger Joe made me so curios so I had to buy a few just to try. A bit to sweet in my taste, but Im managed to consume them anyway. There are no limits what kind of inspiration can come out of a bike forum.  :D

Taco pie looks tasty PeWe. Glad you and Mrs PeWe enjoyed the ride and outing on the brown 750.
My ride Sunday on my VStrom was in 40.5C temps and I didn't takeenoughbreaks to hydrate and cool down...was weak and overheated when I got off the bike after an hour ride back home. Should have driven my car instead... wasn't a bad ride, just too hot and I didn't soak the cooling vest long enough apparently.

Good  job Jim, I am a bit of a sweet tooth, I used to drink Bourbon and coke or whisky/whiskey and dry by the bucketful when I was 330 pounds and pre-diabetic, but nowadays I'm only allowed to drink ginger drinks, because Ginger is good for your gut. The good news is that 1 litre of Ginger Joe is only around 300 calories, so it's pretty much a health drink! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

That sounds really hot!
I have done 32C rides here one summer, think it was 2018.
Otherwise hot rides in Italy and former Jugoslavia now Slovenia and Croatia. But probably only in the 35-36C area.
OK while the speed was up. Remember my boots felt really warm sitting beside the too hot running engine. 836 with higher compresion did not help to cool it down either.

Well working it's way onto the road I just need a plate and insurance to get it road legal. :) A 1978 CB550K with 7500 klms or about 4500 miles.

The 1981 GL1100 Wing is road legal and is a SOHC variation.

The bike will get dirty when used and enjoyed. ;D

I washed both my CB750 today ready for next ride.  I might do some additional polishing if not get rained at during the next rides.

It is enough that rain poor down during 10 minutes when riding and bike will look very dirty again.
Strange that asphalt roads contain that amount of dirty water after and during a heavy rain. The road should be cleaner after a heavy shower.
