yeah they behaved themselves  8)
they're great bikes, i really like them.

subject matter... i guess in the catalogue it says "two r90s on the side of a stretch of road".
or reading into the situation, maybe they're consulting with each other whether they should just take off without their riders? being beemers they think their riders don't deserve them, anyway  ;)

A 150km long ride in a very comfortable weather. Around 20C sunny and not sticky humid thunderstorm is close weather as we had all July.

Working from home means start earlier and close earlier.
Stopped at a Pizzeria- Kebab restaurant in a small village called Västerfärnebo and bought me a kebab plate with fries.

Continued  on nice country roads to a small town called Avesta where my K2 got some refreshments. Then headed home.
Bike liked the weather too,  reaching 160kmh rather easy with lots of throttle left.

I have to replace front brake pads to some with better bite.

My blue bike can stop quickly when things happen, this brown K2 not, rear brake is good using old stock Honda shoes. Maybe the real old good stuff.

Interesting VWs in background at the Shell station. Brown bike looks great!
Meal looks interesting, reminds me of gyros more than kebabs... haven't had a good gyro since moving Tucson and Covid killed the good Greek restaurant I used to go to...
Looks like interesting countryside to ride in...

I took a short ride last night for some dinner and it was 88f but humidity made it feel like 98...quite unpleasant. Felt really drained 25 minutes later getting off the bike. Ride home a few hours later, as I hung out for a while, was much cooler until I stopped. Luckily the mosquitoes didn't attack me like last week.
I hate monsoon season...

Looks good Per, but you should have ridden another 10 Km so you could post on Franks 100 mile ride thread! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thanks guys,
The VW's just came in when I took the photo.  Cool aircooled rides restored to good condition .
Young guys drove them so the interest in old good stuff is secured. Hopefully the same  with bikes.

I was a little bit tired and my new bottle of gin waited home for a taste.  For me new brand.
It should end up in around 210km if doing the usual route from the gas station.

Lot of nature stuff around Waterloo Kevin ?  Seems my sister would gravitate that way a little when she was living in Jackson.

It’s a state recreation area, whatever that means, 32 square miles. It’s like a state park, but not nearly the intensive land use as a state park. There’s campgrounds, group camps, hiking and biking trails, Eddy geology center, antique farm, horseback riding, Haenle bird sanctuary.
The Sandhill cranes use the Haenle marsh in their migrations. I don’t know if they are still considered endangered, I see Sandhill cranes every time I ride. They are a magnificent bird although farmers might consider them a nuisance. I expect you see them in your area Eric.
Seymour road is a highlight for me, I have written about it here before. 14 miles, no trucks, no traffic signals, no billboards, no traffic, just winding through the rolling woods.

Thanks Kenny, I spent some time with soap, water, brushes, wax, rags just before this ride. I was fortunate to find a spot in the woods where I could park in the middle of the road and not worry about being there.
I have been enjoying the sweet corn here these days and thought to take a corn photo like I did last year but you beat me to it at the top of the page here, very nice!

Ham salami pepperoni provolone on the sandwich, very good. But the small restaurant doesn’t do much business, just off the I-94 but it doesn’t draw much from the highway. It’s perfectly situated for a guy like me, wandering around the countryside.

Very good looking bike and a tasty meal!! ;D
A ride, stop by a good cheap restaurant and eat something tasty while having the bike within sight is a very good combination! ;)

Creating good memories for the future!

That would be one fine day Terry, but the best ride I have had in recent years was leading 10 snarling SOHC4’s, and one rubber Lizard down my favorite roads from Detroit into Hell.

Speaking of Hell, was just there last Friday!   Went there for Fish & Chips.
But we were in Classic cars, not Hondas.
