Same here Stev-o.  Bummer about Harvest Classic.  Was at Barber Vintage Festival last week and met a guy from Hutto who said he helped put on Harvest for the last ten years. (Had the wife wearing their T-shirt)

On the faithful 750F out on a desert road on the Idaho/Oregon line a long way from the main road on a 46 year old bike with almost 166,000 miles on it, no cell service, and a gimpy leg.  The bike was flawless as usual, so no worries.  I did give some thought about how old and thin the Metzelers are getting ha ha.

That part of the country has so many great roads to ride!
I love the North West desert roads as well as the higher ones through the trees, like US 12 from Lewiston to Missoula.

With the help of so many posts and sources of information on this forum, I successfully rebuilt the carbs and the front brake caliper on my 400 and got her back out on the road this past weekend.  I've never rebuilt a single carb before, let alone a bank of four....one can say that my cherry has been popped.

Nice run down to Lake Ontario. Very cool, but sunny. Season will end soon. I took the K1 and my friend Gary rode his lovely GL1000. He has mounts for the “ugly screen” on both the GL1000 and his K8. It’s not pretty, but Very useful at this time of year!

Very nice Greg...

Amazing shots as usual Greg and i saved a few to my photo folder. How was the bike on the dirt? I have always found my CB750 very stable on New England dirt roads.
cheers
Andy

Recently finished (are they really ever) K2 first trip to gas station for some non alcohol premium gas. 341 repop pipes were not available, so no correct exhaust but sure sounds great with 300 exhaust

Thanks Andy. The 750 isn’t bad at all on gravel and dirt as long as the surface isn’t too loose. The main issue with the old 750 on rough roads is the laxk of damping in the shocks.  They are the original shocks, crazy as it seems. I used to joke that at least they still had mechanical damping from internal friction after all the oil leaked out, but I think even that is gone now.😃

Yay, first ride in almost 8 months, and it fired up on the second kick! 183 miles of trouble free riding today, with many more to come. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Halloween Fall Ride yesterday down to the Vanilla Bean Cafe, CT for lunch. Lots of wet leaves on the roads after the storms this week.

Encountered this:

Swamp on the left of the road had overflowed so took the far right edge. Up to my boots.

Weather improved after lunch

200 mile round trip.

Cheers
Andy
