Sorry, I’m a city boy, not a farm boy, but yes maybe wheat, but not the taller amber waves of grain.
I found a map that says soft red winter wheat is grown in Michigan
http://maps.heartlandgis.com/StoryMaps/USWheatAssociates/USWheatSupplyChain/
It might go to the Jiffy mix plant just down the road.

Stev-o, here’s is the fading Strawberry Lake road hydrangea, just a couple white blooms left.

Yes, Stev-o, cooler tonight is in the forecast. I think we are cooler than average for the last few weeks, so maybe we are owed a few warmer days. We had a frost warning earlier this week, but didn’t quite make it, probably further north or rural areas did. It should be nice color next time out.
How are the fall temps in Texas? I see budman getting out quite a bit.

Moonrise ride in Idaho farmland

Bike is hesitating off of idle, after a couple of years trouble free since last tuning. Argh I hate carburetors.

Jeff, if you are going to be riding it more, then throw some Seafoam in the tank. Often it can clean up minor carb issues. I use it as a preventative additive on my carb'd bikes to keep them in good form. As long as I am feeding them good quality fuel I seem to have fewer carb issues on carbs that have been cleaned previously.

Bike looks great, Kevin. What is being harvested?
Looks like soybeans. Big crop down around this part of Michigan along with corn. Lotta beans around my house this year and the harvest is on.

How are the fall temps in Texas? I see budman getting out quite a bit.

Hey Kevin...fall temps in TX are great, we are just not quite there yet.  High today expected to be 90F.

But, the first real cold front is coming this weekend and next week is expected to be perfect...high around 80.

Planning to hook up with Budman next weekend at our annual "Harvest Classic" vintage motorcycle rally!

Every dog has its day, get your rides in while you can. The thermometer is dropping here and looks to be well below average for the next 6 days. There is only going to be a few more days suitable for riding around here and I need to have a clear schedule and be ready to go when it happens…. Or move to Texas!

Or be a snowbird to AZ...93f here today and overnight low starts day at around 62-64 the past few days .. will be dropping into 50s overnight in next couple weeks as temps drop to 80s for high ..
Plenty of great riding here during winter. Even more if you rug you for the temps and use heated grips...

Thanks. It was one of those head twisting moments going by and thinking 🤔  gotta turn around and get a shot of that tree. I love the fall colors of NH but it's a reminder that the days of 70 degrees are coming to an end. And the colors too..... pouring rain overnight will have brought  down many the leaves so will need to be careful driving the van when it gets light out. Thankfully there are still a lot more trees that haven't changed color yet in southern NH and I'll get out on the bike's over the weekend again.

Great pic mate, I'm looking forward to some moonlit rides. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I decided to blow the cobwebs out of my old K2 bitsa today, did my weekly 130 mile pie run and the old girl went like a rocket. I must ride it more often. ;D
