I grew up in N. Idaho and attended U of I in Moscow.  The Idaho Palouse is very beautiful.  This is a picture of the Palouse with the Sawtooth mountain range in the background.

Not to get too technical, but the Sawtooths are a long way south of the Palouse region. ;)

Look like how the K6 looked like here in Sweden.
The K1 style blinkers lived long.
Tail light different on UK bikes, here still the good old K1 model.

What year ?  1976

What exhaust ?   Alfa

What point cover ?  Original Honda one that had been crushed so I beat it back to shape and painted it.

Wrong front mudguard, I think off a later model.
Air box I think is an Abe performance item. This bike was the worst battered and bodged bike I’ve ever rebuilt.

I hope it ran as well as it looks. It looks great! Where did you get the case savers (crash bars)? I’ve always liked that smaller style.

Nice looking Resto Doobie, some mirror polish on the side covers reflecting the trees behind you.  Even got the soon to be rare Avon tires on it…

Do they leave enough room to unscrew the points cover screw easily?

Saturday was my first ride on the newly refurbished K1.  Still a couple things to sort out, but boy was nice to riding this bike after years of waiting for the right time to give it the attention it needed.

I like it Brad. Well done.
I've been thinking about getting aluminum rims for some time.

Thanks Stu!

The rims are Excel shouldered aluminum with stainless spokes and the front rim is 18". And credit where credit is due, SOHC/4 member Godffrey did the work on the bike and also suggested going with aluminum rims since the originals were too far gone. I wasn't sure I'd like them when he first suggested it, but thought I'd give them a try.  Seeing them on the bike has eliminated my doubt - I really like them!

Brad
