Beautiful pic Greg, I could do with some sunshine right now. ;D

Thanks Terry.  If I could send some sunshine your way, I would.  We have plenty to spare for the foreseeable future.

That's a great photograph Greg, looks like a fun road.

Thanks David, it was a great day on the faithful 750.

Had a good 240 mile Sunday ride on the K4 today. Rode out from Boston to Ashfield MA via the very twisty Rt116

Came across a bridge closure in the middle of nowhere

Bike ran great all day :)

I have same thoughts.

Yes this is a K8 tank painted to look like a K4. The bike is a K4 (I also have a K4 tank with same colour/graphics). At the time I wanted a larger tank for a RTW trip (which fell through). I had to modify/shorten a K seat pan (and then had a custom seat builder make it into a seat) to make it fit. Really love the way it turned out and now I have 200+ mile range per tank.

Its not a numbered Route but a minor road. Very isolated and it turned into the dirt road you see in the other photos.

Andy…. That is a very cool modification I may just have to try! Years ago, I spotted a K8 that a fellow had slightly modified. He cut the back 10” from a rotten K8 tank, welded it to his seat pan and had a custom seat made. The “bum stop” at the end of his single seat was painted to match the tank. One of the slickest ideas I ever saw, and I had no camera!

Speaking of bumstop seat, look what I bought this morning from a local fb market place ad....
The real deal from Italy.
I also got a very nice(early???) stock K2-K6 seat from them.

Anyone know the deciphering of the date code sticker on the stock seat??

Thanks Sean. I almost lost out on the stock seat to someone who wanted þhem to send a code...... I'm glad they didn't fall for it.
Terry mentioned the stock seat is a K2.

Hi Kevin...I was in MI a couple weeks ago and found some great roads just southwest of Hell, near Half Moon Lake. Have you ridden that area?  Wish I was on a bike but it was still good in the sports car!

Yes, it’s old, it’s heavy, it’s suspension is underdamped and undersprung, it’s not the most nimble handling package on the road…… but there’s just something about taking it out for a blast on a beautiful summer day that never fails to put a smile on my face!
