Took the CB550 out today for a 25 mile loop.
Pictures were taken in the exact spot the camera man was on a iconic Rainier Beer Commercial in 1978 with a 1978 CB750K8.

great memories from my childhood. nearly impossible to round the corner without mimicking the commercial.

Rainier has been 500 years since a major eruption, 44 years since nearby Mt St Helen's though which I remember as I was living in Colorado at 10,000' at the time and had ash there. My friends from high school were nearby camping in Washington when it erupted(I stopped by and saw them yesterday will out riding the 750 for it's 1st ride, a chilly ride, of the year)

I believe Rainier Beer was only sold locally. If you watch The video frame by frame you can see the bike very clearly.Not sure what the women moaning amongst the crickets at the end is all about? It was the 70's. Its likely is a brand new bike.Very fortunate to have these Twisties about 5 miles from my house.

I got the F1 out today for 50 miles on some nice Twisties! Auburn Black diamond Road/Green Valley Road with the destination of Green River Gorge.Bike Ran awesome and it was Actually warm out! 72 F.

Hey Andy
There is actually 2 different roads in those pics. 1st 5 pictures are in Hillsboro, River road up on the top of the hill and the last by the yellow colonial is right off Rt 31 in Greenfield across from Zephyr Lake. There are still some great treats of dirt roads scattered about that have been kept rustic of the early times where you can slow down and enjoy the real old fashioned life in the area, both of the roads are like that and great places to clear the mind. There are lots more still. Clear a day and I'll take you out and about to capture some.
My dad used to take us as a family out exploring the areas we lived in here and up in Maine. He used to carry his fly pole and we'd stop for a bit while he'd wet a fly or 2 crossing a brook over old wooden bridges. It put the love for the possibilities of adventures in me, and not just getting stuck in life traveling to get to some place.

I'm always a bit disappointed with my phone pictures after taking them, trying to capture the moment of the ride along a twisty river road, of the rises and dips as the road follows the rivers. The fast water always fizzles in the pictures......but the mind sure catches it all!

I was out late this afternoon and stopped by where a dairy farm was when I was a kid here, but was sold off into bite sized gentleman's horse properties. I was on my way to car night and wanted to catch the flowering trees before the rain washes the buds away tomorrow.

The telephones of today have good camera, or cameras. Not only one.

I bought a new telephone a few months ago due to my old phone's wide camera makes blurry photos.
I use the camera very much so much memory is important.

Perfect when wrenching with bikes, car and everything else. Before , after each step and after.

I am not positive what the red triangle is? I assume its for extra caution. This section is a set of 5 or 6 hairpin turns.

Good possibility it is an extra warning. I don't recall seeing the red triangle before in my travels. Or if I did it didn't register in the brain as to what it was for.

Nice pix. I grew up in SE King County around Ravensdale, Black Diamond and Cumberland so the old 750F was down to Green River Gorge all the time as the roads there are very nice.

Great info thank you and yes sign me up for a Stu-guided ride!! I can only do weekends though hope thats ok. Free 4th or 5th May weather permitting

But if not we will find a weekend! Been meaning to come visit

The photo was taken with my old I-Phone which seems to flatten colors and dynamic range, so I bumped the exposure down a little and pushed the contrast a bit to make it a closer match to what it looked like to my eye. The sun had just cleared the horizon, the low angle of light helping out.
