Was out and about on the K4 on Memorial weekend ...  Bikes, Boats, Beer and BBQ, not necessarily in that order!

My buddy's neighbor was giving this smoker away, score!  He did say he would trade it for my Honda, but no way! He said he had a Harley in the garage, I didnt care to see it.

That bike looks good.
I know how that 4-2-1 sounds, nice and possible  to cruise in legal speeds and probably legal sound levels too ;D

Made it to Rick's Ridein(at Rick's Motosports, Rick's Electrics). Met up with a couple more friends on Jeff's 74 CB550 and 71 CB500. There were a couple of CBXs, one with a just installed DG 6into1 exhaust system and the other had a 6into6 exhaust, amongst a bunch of other cool bikes. A Very cool yearly event.

Nice Stu, looks like a great day out!

I test rode mine today, made a needle clip adjustment and went out for a cafe run with my wife on some back roads.

Unfortunately my brand new APE clutch is slipping so I need to see what’s up. I checked the external adjustments and I’m not tight so need to take the cover off and see what’s what.

Does Rick still have a huge salvage yard of used parts and sells to the general public if I call ?

His son says they sold off the salvage yard stock to just focus on the stator business. Rick's son runs the stator business.
Rick started another company because he doesn't want to retire yet. Old School Vintage parts.
Close to Plastow, in Hampstead.

I see,not far from Salem.
I used to order used parts from Rick when I was located in Ma. back in the early 90's.
I purchased some of his stators and reg/rects. back then;he sent me a green catalog called 'cycle-tronics'.
I imagine that's when he first got started with the stators..
I used to call Rick and he had quite a few used parts in his yard then; Good to know.

Finally got it out of the barn to make sure it was ready to take to the Gilmore Museum Vintage Motorcycle show next weekend. After some small drama that turned out to be the main connector coming out of the ignition switch had disconnected, the bike fired up after been asleep for at least 7 months and ran like I had been using it every day. Got out for 61 miles with a photo stop in Hastings Michigan, north Battle Creek. I had wanted to stop at a favorite brew pub there, but apparently the town rolls up the sidewalks on Sundays. So I just snapped a quick photo and headed for home. Once I got home I did an oil and filter change and we are good to go.

Good looking bike. The Alfa 4-1 not that common.
I bought one for my K6  late 1983 for 1984 when it was one of the best in test. 2 baffles, silent and more open Police magnet ;D
The silent one OK for the annual vehicle check ;)

Nice sound though.
