Topic: Lets see your SOHC bike out on the road!

Not exactly on the road. Motoblot is this coming weekend in Chicago and I pulled the bike down from Michigan.

As I was looking at it on the trailer I couldn't help but think how much I like this bike. It fits me exactly right, I love the longer tank and the sleek tail. The Lesters really work, and the color turned out great (although I do need to repaint later this summer, but the color won't change)

Did you need to do the top-end(valve guides)on it in the past ?

No, not so far. Mine is an F1 with F2 forks, so it doesn't have the valve guide issues that plague the F2/3. It has an indicated 30k miles and doesn't even use any oil.

About 5 or 6 hours today up SH55 to Cascade, and then Warm Lake Rd.  Very pleasant, even with the recreational traffic on 55.  Which is to be expected this time of year.

I found out later that a severe thunderstorm hit eastern Oregon and moved into Idaho, causing a lot of damage.  The remnant of it is visible in the photo.  Highway 52 skirted the southern edge of it and I got sprinkled on, but dried out as fast as I got wet.  Every time it looked like I was going to get douched, the road turned away from it.  Lucked out.

That's a loaded question 🤔.
Cody did fine wherever we landed, no more traveling? We still traveled, I sold the bike after getting married and didn't want to leave the kids fatherless if anything happened while riding because of the Vegas traffic where we stayed for 3 years. Then off to NH for another 9 years before she left. I've lived in many places over the years being a carpenter. The kids have their own families and I got back to riding cross country in 2011 after getting a Goldwing. I've plunked down in NH for the passed 3 years. Hoping to get out across the country again in the fall for a rideabout and hope to be back here before the snow flies to work on my 750 projects.

I'll bet she would too. I had a friend's husky and 2 other labs in there for a ride. They all loved it.
