Looks good Tipper. She really stands up straight though, might have to bend that side stand mount a touch.... ;)

Bike looking the goods Tipper, yeah Retro I kinda thought the same, maybe it's the camera angle?
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

She stands damn near straight up on the sidestand.  The front end MUST be turned that way and I stretch the suspension up a bit so it does not fall over.  I need to have about an inch cut off the stand still.  Being about 3 inches down front and back has that effect on it, lol.

And thanks for the compliments!
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Rider, no scenic rest area, but I can see why you might think that. It's actually in the parking lot of Davis Harley Davidson in Burlington NC right off of interstate 85 north. We had been out all day on the bikes and just stop by on the way back to the house.

It is rough getting it on the center stand.  The bike is heavy.  This is an old pic and the only one I have of it on the center stand.

Without even seeing Tipper's post.....I was gonna say the back wheel is a mile off of the ground with the shorty shocks on.....mine is  and I did have to shave some metal off of the bottom of the side stand. All is good!!! This pic is with jack stands under the front of the bike and the rear wheel is still off of the ground.

Its not a derogatory comment dude, Cafe bikes are completely different to your bike as are drag bikes, i have a 750 drag bike, which are lowered stretched and have longer swingarms set up for the strip, anyone can race any bike at the strip but that doesn't make it a drag bike. Cafe bikes usually have clip ons or clubmans, fibreglass seats and many other changes, i am building a 1000cc bike that will look very similar to yours, in no way is it a cafe.
There are plenty of examples of both on this site.... ;)

Cafe

My old drag bike

another 750 drag bike...

I hope you didn't miss the bit where i said i like your bike .... ;)

Any chance of a full side on shot, i am painting my rear guard as well and would like to have a good look at yours, you don't see many with the guard painted......looks cool

Very nice bike, Backwoodsman! And not out of line with what we see in the Bike of the Month threads...did you do it yourself? And don't take things personal around here, we are, after all, ruff tuff motorcycle ryders, usually speak our minds right off. Occasionally, since we have also in our midst, a merry troupe of clowns, poke fun (kinda hard sometimes) at what the world brings to our collective doorstep. I'm pretty sure it says in the official rule book, that cafe bikes are required to have dragbars or lower to qualify...All in good fun and sportiness. Don't be put off, tell us some more about your bike and yourself, and of course.....more pics.....
