These are photos a 1977 CB 750 F2 that I bought on eBay. I have never seen a worse bike this this poor thing. It looked like the whole thing was tossed in water, froze and then left in the sun to bake for years. The battery box and wiring was destroyed due to battery acid running everywhere. The frame was cracked due to water freezing inside the frame just under the shift lever. Everything was beat to hell and back. Several good things though. The engine was free and turned over well. Most of the parts could be salvaged with a bit of elbow grease, bead blasting and power coating.
The engine will be torn completely down and rebuilt with Wiseco 836 pistons and Carrillo rods. The head will have a mild port, new valves, springs and retainers. A new Web Cam #41 grind put in place of the old beat up stock cam. New Keihin 29mm CR carbs. Crankshaft will be balanced and polished. New Barrett clutch. And to top it all off, new 5 ohm coils with a Dynateck 2000 ignition.
Wish me luck! I am sure I will need it.
