I think he meant the WWI battle between Edwin Rommel Sr. and General Stanely L. Patten.

Ah, you must mean Erwin Rommel Sr. and his other brother Erwin Rommel Sr.

Just because it served with the Desert Fox does not make it a "sandcast"!   ;D

It has the original ducktail seat but the stand is off a 1956 Puch so, no, it's no all there...    ;D

$3.78 Million tops until he can produce the centre-stand.

Until then, I'm out!

For that money I'd want DNA evidence that the person riding it was actually in the Afrika Corps. ;)

this is a copy of the email i just sent him.

ok, you DO realize how full of #$%* you are on so many levels for this ad dont you? rommel didnt fight in africa n world war I, patton wasnt in africa in world war one and third is that most likely there were no damn scooters used for wartime in the deserts. i wish i had some of the stuff you're smoking as it seems to be way better than anything i have.

The film clip designated "Rommel.flv" shows actual footage of the 2 man motorcycle recon teams that were used in the afrikakorps. There is actually a book out that details the motorcycles of the Wehrmacht, but this film suffices to show what the real thing looked like back in the day.
