Has anyone recently ordered anything from them. i have tried calling them quite a few times in the last couple of days and no one answers the phone. Are they closed? or am I just missing something (possibly another phone number). If anyone can help i sure would appreciate it greatly.

I ordered from them last Spring. My delivery was delayed due to a back ordered item. They eventually sent the bulk of the order with the back ordered item sent separately a few weeks later, no extra shipping charge.

I did take a phone call which required a few attempts before their phone was answered.

I placed an order with them in the fall. It took a while, but they fulfilled my order. I'm not sure what the issue is/was but it did take longer than I expected.

There is a thread on here somewhere that discusses it.

I know they had some personal issues/problems recently but got things back in order and shipping to me was right on time.

I hope things are still going well with them. I would give them another call. Sue will answer emails too.

Could be weather related. Sub-Zero temps, and wind chill alerts, don't know about snow on ground, could be a lot.

We here in Chicago are getting dumped on with snow and the windchill is said to be -35 tonight, so I can guess it is worse in in WI.

All is well i just called about a half hour ago and got someone. Lucky for me they had one chrome clutch lever left (it is now discontinued) plenty of clutch cables, and still have their polished throttle assemblies. So all should be here very soon!! Now on with the rest of the build up.

Got some carbs from them 3 years ago and it changed my life.
Now I don't spend the first 3 weeks of the riding season screwing around with carburetors !

Hey, how'd you get their two carb setup in your frame....I see you just have cover filters on it, but did you have to do any other modifications....I was looking into buying those but someone told me they only fit special built chopper frames

No mods. They fit with about 1/2 inch or less to spare--I shaved the filters down to almost nothing--1/4 inch thick rubber part holds the screen on. --And I had to jack the rear of the tank up slightly to give the cable room to work.
(gas tank is off a CB360)--considerably smaller than the stock 750F tank.

I have ordered parts fro CycleX several times. I have always been very pleased with the parts and the service and the delivery times. Ken's a good guy and really knowledgable.

Of course, maybe it's my Wisconsin roots and the fact that me and Ken always spend time talking about the Packers...

Ken's not a big fan of eMail. Best time to try and call seems to be between 10-12 Eastern time. Ken does keep odd hours, and he's in and out of the shop frequently working on stuff so he's not the easiest to get on the phone, but he does know tons and is always willing to help out once you get him. There was a personal matter a few months ago, but they seem to be back up and running just fine now.

the more i think about it the more i think i might have to get a set of those carbs myself and modify the frame a bit so i can fit those small foam filters on.

I tried calling about twice a day for almost a month, never got an answer!! Emailed and nothing. Found the parts on ebay ordered them and had them in about 3 days.

I talked to Ken last week and he has been very busy
plus the weather has been a problem

He is a great guy and he sells some good stuff also.

have tried calling every day for a week now: am trying to find out how my stuff was shipped. listed as "priority mail" so i assumed it was USPS. have a real problem w/UPS, they leave stuff on my mailbox 'cause of my driveway. (had an order from llbean grabbed over the Holidays.)

if USPS all is well, if UPS i'll call them and hold for personal pickup.

anyone know cycle exh delivery method? thanks!

I think their usual method is UPS. They told me yesterday it was going to 8.00 dollars to ship my order so that's consistant with UPS rates.

I have bought a few parts over the years,very knowledgable and helpful.Got all my stuff reasonably fast.I too want the double carb setup.If only they would make a 4-2 that was not as expensive as Benjies cafe racer.Will continue to buy from them.Its a small family shop,and we all know how disfunctional our families can be.Good things come to those who wait.
