A Gel Coat lesson
« on: January 14, 2009, 12:37:09 PM »
I am looking for a little lesson in gel coat.
I went down to the local boat supply, and they have two choices for gel coat
1) 1 quart laminate gel coat 47$
2) 1 pint finish gel coat 38$

Can someone advise me on what I may need.  I am doing a seat, so any info on quantity and difference would be very helpful. Thanks in advance

Could the boat supply place not advise you, seems strange that they are selling stuff with no technical back up.

I asked, but the person behind the counter had no idea...lets just say they are a big branch store that doesn't specailize in glassing.
