Geez Fuzzy we might have to start calling you Dr. Doom. Every time someone of interest up and dies we hear about it from you. ;D ;D ;D

For baby boomer guitar players, Mr. Randall was a well known member of the Fender brain trust, along with Leo and George Fullerton. These guys put solid body electric guitars on the map. It would have happened eventually anyway, as there were other people, like Paul Bigsby( who helped design and fabricate the Crocker bike), and Rickenbacher, and Les Paul who would have made it popular eventually. But Fender mass produced the suckers first and without guys like Randall, rock and roll would  not have evolved in the way it has.

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if you have a direct line to the afterlife.

They will just stay the same Ben, because they don't make them like they used to. There may be a new model dedicated to Mr Randell but thats about it... ;)

It's not the deaths themselves, but the history and impact of the folks that passed that I enjoy reading about. I love the idea that there are people out there who have done fairly significant stuff, and I really only find out about it when they die. If it's not an acceptable subject, OK, but it's kind of too bad.

Fuzz, I'm glad you post these because there are a few that I would have missed.
