Broadway show tickets
« on: January 13, 2009, 07:32:56 AM »
Does anyone have a reliable place to go for Broadway Show tickets?
We are going into Manhattan on Saturday and staying over night, we would like to go see a show, are there any ticket shops we can get tickets or do we have to visit every theatre to see what tickets are left.

There is a place in Times Square called TKTS - you can always get
cheap tickets day of or just before the show. I mean REALLY cheap.
Bikes parked out front mean good chicken-fried steak inside.

+1 on TKTS. Stay away from Brokers. The shows are down right now, so your timing is good. The most expensive seat in a theater is the empty one, so they will discount heavily.

thanks for the help all, used TKTS, got to see Phantom of the Opera on Saturday after queueing for 90mins in the coldest conditions I have ever experienced. Good memories though, would have liked to gone to bike show sunday but still plenty of sightseeing to do.

thanks Bobby just there Saturday + Sunday, been staying with my daughter in Sussex NJ since begining of December, we go back to UK on Thursday. Enjoyed our stay at Marriott Marquis, they treated us  :) found Times Square a little too lively, but a good experience.
