Anybody ride today??
« on: January 18, 2009, 02:47:38 PM »
BEAUTIFUL day today on the Colorado front range. 60 degress and clear blue skies with no wind. I got in 52 miles but kept it under 110mph.

I feel bad for you non-mountain guys that don't get to ride in the middle of winter  ;D
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Spent the day digging out from another 7 inches of snow last night...  >:(

If we get another sizable snowfall, I'm not sure where we'd put it, as the piles on both sides of the driveway are almost 6 feet tall.

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

What??? In this horrible 60+ degree, sun shining partly cloudy day????  jk, it would of been a great day for a ride here, not very windy either.  Been in the garage enjoying it and working on the bike.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Yeah, it's like that in Boston too, thankfully I've got a project going to keep me sane between shovelling!  I went out and shovelled about 8 inches this morning, and then shovelled about 4 inches in the afternoon....my right eye is beginning to twitch.

Wow, Jerry, you all  had warmer temps than we had down here!  Still, we were out on the Sprint for a quick ride and grocery shopping; then got the Hondas out to give 'em a turn.  ;D

Supposed to ride down to Albuquerque to pick up the wife's new ride on Friday, but I see sub-freezing temps and possible snow in the forecast.  Haven't had the heart to tell her yet.  :(

It was only 30 degrees celcius here today so beer was evapourating in the can. ;D
I finally got out and about on my CB650PZ and scared the population,.......did I enjoy my 40 miles today...um? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I learned something new today (I try to do that daily as I'm over 50 now) the lining of my armoured riding jacket can be zipped out, of course I did not discover that until I was ringing wet with sweat! :D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Yeah Sean, 2 days of this terrible #$%*ty Rocky Mountain weather AND 3 MORE DAYS TO GO. Thanks for the air mail. I guess the 20% humidity and no wind helps too  ;) This Rocky Mountain weather really sucks, especially in the winter. It could only be better if we were in a southern hemisphere summer but then it would be too hot with WAY too much humidity.

Its getting difficult to even imagine that I really do like to ride my CB around here.

On the other hand, taking a walk in a snowstorm is wonderful. :)
