I didn't touch any settings on the carbs, just took them apart to clean them and replaced the float needles (had 1 sticking) I quess we could go to the manual and start there. You know Amber when I see a pic like that makes me smile and think-Now she is having a good time....luder

It's Wisconsin, we're always drinking beer.  ;)

Great build by the way. I just picked up a pair of cb750s in the area, one of which i'm building into a cafe, the other is a chopper which I was going to part but after looking at some of the bobbers in the Inspiration thread, i might keep also.

Its builds like these that keep me motivated, hope to see more pics soon!

Here's my rear wheel (the one I blasted all the spokes on) all trued-balance and new meat. Bridgestone Battleax bt45,kinda pricey($131.96) but it will be nice to have some new rubber. Front wheel to follow. Also Ink I might take you up on the beer tonight. I think I will crack your Long Strange Tripel....luder

Great build!

I wish i had a blaster, would make my life a bit easier

How is the paint holding up on the tank? I think im going to try to find the paint and primer you used.. What kind of compressor are you using? how many cfm does it have at 90 psi?

Thanks shoebox.  Beakin the paint will hold up great (its not cheap) PPG. My compressor is a 7 hp Quincy so we have no problem with an air supply. But I bought that blast cabinet (harbor freight) After blasting all those bike trinkets outside, and its great for small parts, you don't end up with all the sand outside and I am using alum oxide in that, cuts great and is suppose to last 5 times longer than sand (pricey at about $1.00 a pound) but its recirculated.....later luder    ps-the cabinet does not need as much pressure as the pot-I regulate that to about 90

I've got to say, this is an incredible build Luder. I love the paint and the all the black. I'm a college student (almost done) in Milwaukee, but living in Madison this summer. Good to see a project of this caliber being done so well. You've got amazing resources at your disposal. I am envious of your ability and time.

Keep it up, maybe see you on the road soon.

Just ordered a clutch cable and some header wrap off ebay. You might see me around Madison (never know) I have a few daughters down there. And I am sure you've been to the Dells....later luder

And a front view. I have to order more header wrap(does not go as far as you think.) Made some new battery cables and bought a new battery. Go around and tighten everything up, also alot of misc.,wire and cable routing, finish buffing,a few new bolts and such. I feel like I am about 98% finished with what I wanted out of this girl. I will probably have to pull the carbs again to get her running like she should. As you see the harleys sitting there getting jealous, and if this cb was done I would be taking her for a fathers day putt, will keep you posted....luder

Well I pulled the carbs again. I am getting to much fuel (fouling out and coming out of the overflows. The screws in the bottom were turned out at least 2 1/2 turns, put them all at 1 1/2 and she fired up but as I say way to much fuel.any ideas- float level? Take apart put back together etc etc .......  I will ride her one of these days, luder
