Thats all for now just wanted you all to know I havent been slacking a whole lot lately on this project. Many things to do yet, I hate to beg but I really need a float needle 1 bad, anyone know where I could get one or a set, thanks. This has been a interesting build so far and it helps to have this forum for my dumb questions and actually some inspiration

Really enjoying your build.  The bike is looking very nice.  The paint layout reminds me of an old CBX tank, which I always liked.  Keep the posts coming as the bike starts to near completion.

Great build Luder!  I've enjoyed reading it and seeing your progress.

For your need of parts, this is right off the FAQ page.  One of these places should have what you are looking for... I would think.

Thought I was done for the day but I could not look at the directionals and headlamp ring the way they were-they will look better on the bike colored in my opinion. So when we urethane primered the side covers we cleaned these up and shot them as well. Now time for a chicken on the rottisere a few drinks of choice as I watch it spin around and we will have color on these parts tommorrow...later luder

Well haven't posted in awhile so a small update. Received my new float needles from vintage Honda(set of 4 about 23 bucks) not a bad deal. Now I cant fight the intake boots back on, pretty stiff. I have them soaking in thinner softening them up and I need some new clamps-not your run of the mill clamps(narrow). If that don't work we will get new boots(pricey rubber) I repainted my rt engine  side covers silver(didn't like the black when I put her together)Found a seat cover on eBay(didn't bid on it so hope they have another) Its cold here again (should have sand blasted when she was warmer) All my lights work but(one flasher even though I have power there-switch wires still doesn't work hhmmm Ill think about that one) Lights wont flash (flasher ?) Horn inoperable(more to ponder.....and the list will go on I ll throw a picture on some time later on any good progress...luder

Great progress.  It's alwasy good to see something done on a small budget with a little elbow grease.

I have my old carb boots - I'll take a look at them this evening...if they seem useable - they're yours.  I also have 4 airbox clamps if you need them.

Lookin good.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

on subject of the horn, take your switch apart (WATCH FOR SPRINGS) and polish the contacts on all your switches.  Saves lots of trouble in the long run, fixed my horn, too.

You shouldn't have to wait long to blast, supposed to warm up this weekend. Can't wait for the rest of this snow to melt.

i just caught up on your build project and damn am i impressed!
wish i had half the know-how and ingenuity you've shown. loved the simple spring compressor, but was astounded by the puzzle-esque side cover, that was fantastic.

great color choices and i agree w/the CBX comment.

can't wait to see more photos, as i bet you're looking forward to completion and gettin her on the road!

With the seat cover ordered I took this apart, one small crack in the side will weld up after blasting then get her painted up.
