What's this running (ruh-ning) thing that you're writing about? I had to have someone spell it phonetically for me... I finally looked it up...

Were you being chased? Why would you run? Are you a criminal and fleeing from the law? Where was your motorcycle?

I just don't understand why anyone would willingly run!

I gave up running that evening in Sturgis when I landed in the firepit with my boot beside my knee with the sole looking at me...

I can sorta hoblbe along a bit faster than walking if I really have to.. but it took a lot of years..

I was a good mile or so from home when the cramps hit their hardest. I thought about walking and praying, but knew that if I stopped I was going to leave a trail. So I willed myself to run like I was being hunted. Had to run a steep hill near my home, which usually makes me want to vomit by the top. This time the hill past like I was on the flat. Worst part of it hit as I fumbled with the key to get into the house. I dropped it and was afraid to bend over to pick it up.

Nearly shat myself at the front door.

I burned about 800 calories running and another 1000 on the head. I forgot to stop my watch when I got home, but I bet I ran the fasted 5 miles of my life today. The last two in about 10 minutes give or take. We should feed our Olympians Indian food. World records would fall by the minute!

You're just eating the wrong kind of Indian food!

The over-cooked highly spiced stuff from North India I can see doing that to you.

MMmmmmmmm the food in South India, well that's a completely different story.

I miss dosa every day. A very thin crispy savory pancake with some potato filling and coconut/mustard seed chutney.

Training for a marathon isn't easy. I hurt my knee a few miles in, but refused to have worked that hard just to give up.

This guy's number is 26 (out of thousands) so he must be a hardcore runner to begin with (probably registered the day after last years run or something).

All I would have suggested is adding 60 seconds to your time and throwing some water on your legs.

"Dude, it can't be your personal best time with issues like that, so clean up!"

Still, he was never famous on the internet just for his running. Now, he's famous on the internet for his runs...

While in boot camp some fat kid was trying to be sneaky and got a glass of chocolate milk. He got caught and they made him drink six more glasses in about a minute, then took him out side and PT'd his a$$ till he became sick, and when he rebated it was quite the sight. We were all standing outside of the chow hall in formation while the kill hat was destroying him. You are not supposed to look around but it was hard not to watch such a spectical. That kid never drank chocolate milk again, probably ever.

While working in upper Alabama in the sewer system, we hired a short, rotund man whom I said wouold not fit in the manholes.
Well, mostly he wouldn't go into the manholes to do the work, and one day I got sick of it so I told him either he went down or he was fired. Well he went down, but got stuck on the way out. We tried water, grease etc to pull him out, but without luck.

Finally, when he pushed really hard he "greased his pants" and slid out.

Yuk!
But we were rolling on the ground laughing.

Strange enough, he never showed up for work again.
