Topic: 1981 US CB750 custom??

I have a chance of getting this bike as a project/donor, for a good price. Is this bike considered to be any good, or is it thought of as a bit of a dog?? I know it may be a matter of personal choice, but I would be interested to see the responses..
Btw, I am told it is a US bike imported to teh UK, is this correct?

Jim - you won't be able to "donate" much from that to your F1!

In my naievety(stupidity) I did not even realise this was a DOHC!!!! however, maybe it is a bike to use when the roads are wet and salty?? Saves the F1 getting ruined. However, I would prefer a 550 or something similar?
